Helping clients maintain their dignity and self respect is of the upmost importance to Haircuts from the heart.

Hours of Operation:

 

  • Open: Monday through Thursday
  • Hours:  9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Closed for lunch 12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • "Waiting time" is usually less than 30 minutes

 

Who is served:

 

  • Men, Women, seniors and pre-schoolers are served
  • Salon Stylists can work professionally with hair of all races.
  • Income must be in the 100% poverty level
  • School children are not serviced in the Salon during school hours.
  • Persons needing hair care just prior to job interviews or first day at jobs are welcomed

 

Services: 

 

  • Haicuts, shape-ups, beard trims, shampoo & set, shampoos, perms and relaxers

 

Appointments:

 

  • Appointments need for Perms and Relaxers only.  Walk in status for other services

 

How Often:

 

  • There must be 6 weeks between haircuts (received from anyone, salon, barbershop)
  • There must be 3 months between chemical services (perms,relaxers)

 

Cost:

 

  • Haircuts from the Heart salon requests a fee of $2.00 before service. Because most of the clients do not have money to spare for professional hair care, the salon encourages clients to collect aluminum cans (which are recycled) in lieu of financial contribution.
