Sawyer Point Events

Wet Playgrounds - re-opens May 2009

Admission is $1.00 per child, ages 2 to 12. Wet playgrounds are open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.,  weather permitting.
Children who are supervised by a parent or guardian and wearing bathing suits may play in the wet playgrounds. All diaper-wearing toddlers must wear swim diapers under a bathing suit.  Groups are required to have an adult supervisor for every 6 children

Parky’s Ark
Located at the Winton Woods Harbor, this wet play area includes 18 animal figures that squirt and spray water onto the play surface area.

Parky’s Pirate Cove
Located at Miami Whitewater Forest Harbor, this elaborate wet playground has alligators, a giant octopus and tipping coconuts filled with water.

Parky’s Wetland Adventure 
Woodland Mound features a 16-foot tree with 2 slides, a whimsical great blue heron, frogs, turtles and flowers which spray water.

Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center stands as the nation's newest monument to freedom. It brings to life the importance - and relevance - of struggles for freedom around the world and throughout history, including today. Made up of three buildings that symbolize the cornerstones of freedom - courage, cooperation and perseverance - the freedom center's curving architecture reflects the winding river and the often-changing path to freedom. Now as in the past, Cincinnati's location on the Ohio River puts it at the crossroads of freedom's journey. In the 1800's the city served as a major hub of activity on the Underground Railroad and its banks offered refuge to thousands seeking hope and a new way of life. Today, as the home of the freedom center, it acts as a beacon of light once more.

Eden Parks Krohn Conservatory is a nationally recognized showcase of more than 3,500 plant species from all over the world. The palm, tropical, desert and orchid houses exhibit permanent displays of exotic plants in natural settings, complete with a 20 foot rainforest waterfall.

One of the most fascinating and entertaining events held at the Conservatory is the annual Butterfly Show. Countless butterflies are released to fly freely within the Conservatory's showroom, adding yet another blaze of color to an already charming display.
