New Eyes for the Needy purchases new prescription eyeglasses for low-income individuals in the US through a voucher program. Criteria listed below to apply to the program:
Be in financial need.
Have had a recent eye exam. New Eyes does not pay for eye exams. Click
here if you need assistance in locating a source of free or low-cost eye exams.
Have no other resources available to pay for glasses, including federal or state programs or assistance from local charitable organizations.
A New Eyes voucher typically covers only the cost of a basic pair of single or bifocal eyeglasses.

Seniors EyeCare ProgramThe Seniors EyeCare Program helps to ensure that all eligible seniors have access to medical eye care and promotes annual, dilated eye exams. This program raises awareness about age-related eye disease, including cataracts, provides free eye care educational materials and facilitates access to eye care.

Children's EyeCare Program
The Children's EyeCare Program is designed to educate parents on how to recognize the symptoms of eye diseases and disorders in their children between newborn and 36 months of age. This program encourages parents who think their child has a vision or eye problem to have their child's eyes examined by their pediatrician, family physician or, if necessary, by an ophthalmologist.
